Haiphong, a coastal city in Vietnam, is known for its beautiful red trees and gorgeous outdoor markets. You can also easily take a bus to Hanoi and enjoy the vibrancy of Vietnam’s capital city. In both Hanoi and Haiphong, you’ll get a taste of the exciting nightlife and find plenty of bars, clubs, and pubs where you can socialize with locals and fellow tourists.
Haiphong has hot, humid summers and warm, dry winters. Summer is the most popular time to visit and you’ll experience temperatures averaging around 30 °C (85 °F).
If you are traveling around early May, you can take part in the Don Son Festival. During the festival there’s tons of fun things to do in Haiphong and crowds come together for dragon boat race, golf tournament, volleyball, buffalo fight and many other outdoor recreational activities.
