UNESCO World Heritage Sites Port Vila - Chief Roi Mata’s Domain

Roi Mata was a powerful Melanesian chief during the 13th century from Vanatu. Each of the islands of Efate, Lelepa and Artok contain a site associated with the life and death of the chief, which are his residence, the site of his death and his burial site. Together they form a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the first one in Vanuatu.
