The St. Louis Art Museum is one of the most comprehensive art museums in the United States. You can visit the museum and look at the different artworks for free.


St. Louis Symphony Orchestra

Music lovers should take time to visit the Powell Symphony Hall, home of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.


St. Louis Zoo

The St. Louis Zoo is also a popular attraction in the city. Aside from being a caring home to hundreds of animals, the zoo is also a research and conservation center.

When to go to St. Louis

Generally, the city of St. Louis experiences extreme weather conditions. Summer, which run from June to September, is hot and humid. On the other hand, the winter months of December through March can be brutally cold. The spring season in St. Louis, covering the months of March through May, is typically wet and prone to tornadoes. Autumn is usually mild and sunny, but rain showers are not uncommon.

There are always plenty of fun things to do in St. Louis, but the best times to visit the city are April to May and September to October, when the weather is considered most pleasant and several major festivals are held.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites St Louis - Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site

The Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site is the largest settlement north of Mexico from the pre-Columbian era, extending throughout the Mississippi Valley and southeast United States. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Cahokia Mounds contain the largest prehistoric earthen structure in the Americas: the Monks Mound. It consists on four piled terraces reaching an astonishing height of 30 meters. The site offers a very informative visit to its museum, and if you have the time, climb the Monks Mound for some amazing views!

Golf in St Louis

There are many great options for golf in the area surrounding St Louis. One of the best clubs is Tapawingo National Golf Club, featuring three different 9 hole courses that you can combine to make your very own 18 hole experience. Another great public course can be found nearby: Annbriar Golf Course. It is an 18 hole course with great layout, beautifully framed by the surrounding forest. Last but not least we would like to recommend The Missouri Bluffs Golf Club. It is located a little bit outside of the city, but it is well worth the drive!

St. Louis is home to one of the famous Six Flags franchise amusement parks, Six Flags St. Louis. This is a roller coaster paradise where everyone in the company will have fun, whether you come here with a group of friends, a beloved one or your family. Alternate roller coaster after roller coaster and stroll around in the different areas of the park. A day here will fly by due to all the fun you’ll have!

Water Parks in St. Louis - Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags

The water park Hurricane Harbor in St. Louis is located inside, but not a part of, the famous Six Flags St. Louis. A day at Hurricane Harbor will be a day filled with water splashing in the pools and swooshing down the water slides. Another water park approachable from St. Louis is the small Splash City. Although it is relatively small there is a lot of fun attractions available, surf down the Flow Rider and slide down Monsoon Mountain. This park offers something for all ages!
