SKIING

Oahu ski vacations - Ski in the morning and chill by the beach in the afternoon

Skiing, in Hawaii? Believe it or not, but it is actually possible! On Mauna Kea (the White Mountain) you can ski or snowboard down the 13 501 ft (4 115 m) high mountain. The snow comes during the winter months, but the season starts in November and can last all the way until July. February and March are the months that provide the mountain with the best snow though. One important thing to have in mind if you are going skiing in Oahu is the lack of lifts. There are no lifts to take you up the mountain, instead you have to either hire a guide or a vehicle with four-wheel-drive. But now wouldn’t it be cool to go skiing in the morning and later spend the afternoon on the beach? On Oahu you can do just that!
