Memphis Marathon

The event starts near the historic Mississippi River where runners start making their way around the inner city of Memphis. The elevation on the course map has a slight climb for the first half of the race. After that it starts to level out before a 10k descent to finish the race in style. The Memphis Marathon is held annually in the month of December and features many different distances so that everyone can participate in the event. If you are an experienced runner, the marathon is probably the right choice for you but if you are more of a casual runner the 10k is a great challenge and an excellent way of seeing the city!

Memphis is a great city for golf, with many courses in the surrounding area. One of them is The Links at Overton Park, an 18 hole course that has won local awards for being the best course in Memphis. Another great course can be found in the Fox Meadows neighborhood at Links at Fox Meadows. It is the longest course in Memphis, requiring you to hit nice shots on your opening drives to be able to reach the greens and avoid the water hazards. Water Parks in Memphis - Enjoy some splashing fun at the Memphis Jewish Community Center

In Memphis you find a water park located at the Memphis Jewish Community Center. At this place you can enjoy a day filled with lots of water related fun! The toddlers will have their excitement in the Baby Pool and those who are a little bit older will love the Splash Pad.
