Madison Marathon

The Madison Marathon is an annual marathon event in the month of November. The race starts in Wisconsin State Capitol Building and travels south toward Lake Wingra before it heads back north between the lakes Mendota and Monona. Running between these two lakes, with the wind in your hair and the mild lake breeze giving you renewed energy is exactly what you need when reaching the halfway point. After the lakes you reach the Warner Park, and shortly thereafter you return back to where you came from and finish near the Wisconsin State Capitol Building. If you are looking for challenge that goes above the main marathon, you can participate in the series of races that include the main marathon, a half-marathon and a 10k on different dates. If you can complete that challenge, you surely have earned the bragging rights!
