Located on Quay Street in Manchester, this opera house is the main site for touring performance arts including opera, theater and musicals in Manchester. It was founded in the early 20th century, but its place as an institute for the fine arts has not always been a certainty. During a brief five year period in the 80s, due to economical issues, it was mainly used as a bingo hall. Now days though it is back to its earlier glory and is a great place to visit when you are in need of a culture boost.
