The average annual temperature is about 8.6 degrees Celsius (47.5 degrees Fahrenheit) and it rains about 986 mm (38.8 in), but still has about 1,756 hours of sunshine a year too. MARATHON

Jungfrau Marathon

The Jungfrau Marathon is one of the steepest and most challenging marathons in the world. With an elevation of almost 6.000 feet (1800 meters) it demands a lot from the participants. But for the ones who accept the challenge, amazing scenery and bragging rights awaits. The course starts relatively easy in the city of Interlaken and goes past Lake Brienz towards Lauterbrunnen on a flat surface. After that the main climb begins where the runners make their way up to Wengen and continues climbing until they reach the highest point at 7.000 feet over sea level at Wengernalp. For the brave marathon runners that make it there, a relaxing downhill is rewarded to them towards the finish line at Kleine Scheidegg. If you are up for a challenging but beautiful marathon, this is the one for you!

GOLF

Golf in Bern

There are a couple of courses near Bern. Two of the best that we want to recommend are the 27 hole Golfpark Moossee and 18 hole Golf Club Interlaken-Unterseen. On Golfpark Moossee, apart from a normal 18 hole round of golf you can also choose to play on their challenging 9 hole course, which can be a great activity for the evening.
