Adelboden is a traditional Swiss Alpine village in the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland. The community is a significant tourism destination, since it’s located at 1350 meter above sea level and has a amazing panoramic views that appeals to its visitors. The region shines with its variety and attracts even the most extreme winter enthusiast due to Adelboden’s 200 km large off-piste area!
Stroll in the village among traditional cottages and watermills and make sure to visit one of the sheds that will show you how solid handcraft is made. The main street offers peculiar shops, sport shops, cafés and restaurants.
On the main street you’ll also find the famous Adelboden church, that was built in 1433 and very little has been changed since. The church arranges festive concerts during summer and winter, but is open during the year for visitors to be able to view the beautiful fresco paintings that welcome you at the entrance and the stained glass.
If you are interested in history there’s a museum that opened in 1983 and has the most fascinating collection of historic findings that has made it possible to retell the history of the region.
