MARATHON

Gothenburg Marathon

The Gothenburg Marathon is an annual marathon event that has been held every year in October since 1972. The course will take you from Slottskogsvallen down south on Dag Hammarskjöldsleden towards the turning point after passing the Gothenburg Golf Club. This part of the race is along the western coastline where you will probably feel the 'wonderful' smell of seaweed but on the bright side you will get a great view of the archipelago. The race is on a flat concrete track, making it a fast run, which is a great opportunity to break your own record if you have run a marathon before. If you have never run a marathon before, there is also the possibility to run a half-marathon, or just be a part of the great crowd of spectators.
