Golf in Seville

As is the case with Spain overall, Seville is a city with many options for golfers. Club Zaudin Golf Sevilla is a golf course set in the eastern outskirts of Seville, in the Aljarafe landscape. Another great 18 hole course in the area is the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, a fun and varied course set on a flat surface. UNESCO World Heritage Sites Seville - Cathedral, Alcázar and Archivo de Indias in Seville

Found in the heart of the city of Seville, the complex formed by the cathedral, the Alcázar and the Archivo de Indias is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its historical and artistic value. The cathedral and the Alcázar date from the Renconquest, the period when the Spanish took back the Iberian Peninsula from the Muslims. The Alcázar is an ensemble of palaces intended as a residence of heads of state, today being the residence of the Spanish monarchs in that city. In the Giralda minaret, situated next to the cathedral and considered the masterpiece of Almohad architecture, the tomb of Christopher Columbus is found. Lastly, the Archivo the Indias, which used to be the Lonja, houses documents with information on the colonies in the Americas.

Doñana National Park

The Doñana National Park is situated on the right bank of the Guadalquivir River, at its estuary with the Atlantic, and it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as the most important wintering site in Spain for waterfowl. The park contains different habitats such as dune fields and lagoons, as well as many animal species including several threatened ones like the Spanish lynx and five bird species. As suggested earlier, this park offers especially a very broad range of bird species, with 360 of them present, so if you are a birding enthusiast this is the place for you!

Seville Opera House

Teatro de la Maestranza

Teatro de la Maestranza is located on Paseo de Cristóbal Colón 22, near the river called Canal de Alfononso XIII. It is a relatively newly built opera house, being founded in 1991 in conjunction with the Seville Expo which was being held here the year after. This circular building is mostly devoted to opera, but you can also experience some traditional zarzuela, which is a Spanish form of operetta.
