Basseterre is the capital of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, which are in the West Indies. If you love beach life and water sports there is a lot of fun things to do in Basseterre. Or, go to Turtle Bar Reef where you can see coral and marine creatures. It is shallow and appropriate for novice divers and for those who snorkel. It’s only 20 minutes from Basseterre. Basseterre has a tropical rainforest type of climate, so if you come here on holiday, prepare for copious rain showers, as the city has no dry season. Temperatures all year average about 27 °C (81 °F).
