UNESCO World Heritage Sites Saint Kitts and Nevis- Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park

The Brimstone Hill Fortress, built around the 17th century, is a great example of military architecture in the Caribbean, designed by the British and constructed by African slave labour. Its good preservation and its historical importance as a witness of European colonial expansion are the reasons why the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
