Biking Trips around Quito

Because Quito is home to great valleys, mountains, and volcanoes, it is a perfect destination for some adventurous mountain biking activities. There are many mountain biking tours being offered in the city, ranging from one-day to multi-day biking trips.


Quito Zoo

If you like a pleasant, less tiring trip, you can visit the Quito Zoo. The zoo houses the largest collection of Ecuadorian fauna and offers an Animal House Night, an activity where you can watch nocturnal animals when they’re awake.




Quito Botanical Gardens

Get a little closer to nature by visiting the Botanical Gardens, also known as Jardin Botanico. You can opt for the guided tour or simply walk around and see the different variety of plants and flowers, some of which are indigenous to Ecuador.


Museo Del Banco Central

If you are a history junkie, don’t forget to make a pit stop at Museo Del Banco Central. This museum displays art works from Ecuador’s pre-Columbian and Colonial periods.


Quito Nightlife

Throughout the city, you can find many nightlife spots and party venues where you can unwind and relax after a tiring day of sightseeing. Visit La Ronda in the Historic Center, La Mariscal, and Guapulo for some of the best restaurants, bars, and clubs in the city.


When to go to Quito

Because of the city’s high elevation, the climate in Quito is constantly cool throughout the year. There are only two distinct seasons in the city: the dry season from June through September and the wet season from October through May.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites Quito - City of Quito

The capital of Equador, Quito, lies on the ruins of an Inca city and is one of the best-preserved historic centres in Latin America. This centre represents, in addition, a great example of the style called Baroque school of Quito, a fusion of European and indigenous art. All these special traits have qualified Quito as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Churches, museums and squares are abundant, and the public buildings are easily recognised thanks to their heavy Spanish style. As a part of the large entertainment complex with the name TelefériQo in Quito you can visit the amusement park Vulqano Park. It is a low-key park that offers you attractions and roller coaster where all age groups will find something fun.
