If you are in Québec you should dedicate some time to visit its historic district, given that it is the only city in North America that has conserved the walls, gates and defensive constructions around Old Québec, being a great example of a fortified colonial city. For this reason, it has been included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. You will be able to walk around Old Québec given the small size of the area and will find history everywhere you go. Although many stores and restaurants are directed to tourists, you can find good places quite easily with a little effort.
