Pisa is located in the coast of Tuscany, Italy. The city is very famous for its Leaning Tower, but there are at least 50 more points of interest waiting for adventurous and inquisitive tourists. The most famous landmark in the city is the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Although people are no longer allowed inside the tower due to its sharp angle, the tower is a very popular site and a must-see when visiting Pisa on holiday. It has eight stories and seven bells that play a different note on the musical scale. The Leaning Tower of Pisa located in the Cathedral Square where the Pisa Cathedral, the Campo Santo, the Baptistry, a hospital, and a few palaces can also be found.
For exploring things outside the city, you can ride a bus or train to the nearest beaches just a few kilometers from Pisa. Some of the most popular beach towns are Marina di Pisa and Tirrenia while the most recommended resorts are Forte dei Marmi, Versilia and Viareggio, and Marina di Pietrasanta.

Since Pisa is a coastal area, the climate in the city is fairly mild compared to the inland cities. Summers are mild and dry while winters are cool. It is perfect to spend your holiday in Pisa any time of the year.
The Pisa Marathon and Half Marathon is typically held in December each year. It usually starts and ends in the spectacular Piazza dei Miracoli, more popularly known as Piazza del Duomo.
