The city of Pietermaritzburg, often shortened to Maritzburg or PMB, is the capital of KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa. It is a small town that is jam-packed with natural attractions, historical finds, and architectural marvels. June to August is the most recommended time to visit Pietermaritzburg because it has the lowest chances of rain, lowest humidity, and most comfortable temperatures. Sightseeing and trekking are also perfekt things to do in Pietermaritzburg during this season. However, if you want to keep the town to yourself, you can visit in April to May or September to October.
