When to go to Kathmandu

UNESCO World Heritage Sites Kathmandu - Kathmandu Valley

The Kathmandu Valley, located in the foothills of the Himalayas, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site that consists on seven Monument Zones. These zones are the centres of the three cities of Kathmandu and four religious ensembles that represent great testimonies of the traditional civilizations of the valley. The two favourite attractions in the Kathmandu Valley are the sacred Boudhanath stupa and the Swayambhunath Temple, also known as the Monkey Temple due to the holy monkeys living there!
