The subtropical highlands climate of Nairobi allows for cool temperatures all year round. The warmest and sunniest months are from December to March, when the average temperatures stay in the mid-twenties. The rainiest months are March to April and November to December. June and July are considered the coolest months and temperatures can drop to 10°C (50°F) in the evenings.
Safari-related activities are best done during the city’s dry seasons of January to March and July to October. The dry seasons also allow for more pleasant sightseeing opportunities.
