MARATHON

Montgomery Marathon

The Montgomery Marathon is an annual marathon set in the 'Capital of Dreams' Montgomery, Alabama in the month of March. The race starts in front of the water tower on Tallapoosa Street near the Hank Williams Memorial Park and follows a route around the inner city of Montgomery. The race ends in The Riverwalk Stadium near the Gun Island Chute waters. Apart from the main marathon the event also features a half-marathon, a 5k and 'The Mayor's Marathon Challenge' which is a an ongoing event during the year where children complete a full marathon by running a couple of miles each week. Take this great chance to kick of the spring with a marathon!
