Sightseeing in Monaco

For those who prefer sightseeing, there is a lot to see in Monaco. The Royal Palace, Palais du Prince in Monaco is an imposing building and fortress built in the 13th century. Apart from being the residence of the Sovereign Prince of Monaco, this palace also boasts several excellently appointed apartments. You can visit it yourself when the Prince and his family are not around. Touring around this palace is an experience of a lifetime. Grace Kelly discovered Monaco when shooting and starring in a Hitchcock film and ended up becoming its princess.

Monaco Grand Prix

If you are in Monaco, the Grand Prix is an absolute must-watch since this is what the city is famous for all over the world. It’s usually in the months of May and June that this microstate conducts racing car events. The Formula One World Championship Grand Prix race held here is supposed to be the hardest in the whole circuit.

Monaco Yacht Show

The MYS (Monaco Yacht Show) is Europe’s biggest event for mega yachts, a show that is held every year in Monaco.
If you visit Monaco during the event you’ll see luxury yachts from all over the world.

Monte Carlo

When in Monaco you should also consider visiting Monte Carlo, a city very close to Monaco famous for its casino complex and botanical gardens.

The Monte Carlo Casino is Monaco’s Casino, a large complex in Monte Carlo.
Here you can enjoy everything from Roulette to Poker and Black Jack.

Monaco Aquarium

The oceanographic museum in Monaco is also an aquarium. It has unique collection of marine fauna and associated exhibits. This museum of marine sciences is sure to be a visual treat for every visitor.
