Chişinău Opera House

Teatrul Naţional de Operă şi Balet din Republica Moldova

Located in between parks Stefan cel Mare and Catedralei this 1957 opera house has stayed true to its history through the years. Even after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the opera house kept their opera and ballet ensembles intact under the parole 'The show must go on'. Chisinau Marathon

The Chisinau Marathon is an annual marathon event in April. The race features several running distances including a main marathon, a half-marathon, a 10k race and a 3k for fun run making sure that everyone can take part in the event without having to run an entire marathon. The route starts near the Cathedral Park at the Great National Assembly Square and follows the river Bic around town on a relatively flat surface with only a slight climb around the halfway point. If you have never been to the capital of Moldova before, it is a great way of seeing the center of the city.
