Marseille Opera House

Opéra Municipal de Marseille

Marseille as a city has a long history with opera, being the second city in France to have an opera house. This opera house however was built a little bit later, having its gates open to the public from 1924 until present day. Located near the Vieux Port, it truly is a scenic place to spend a day. Before or after the show we recommend a walk around the port and maybe a visit to the Mairie de Marseille museum located on Rue de la Loge. There are also several great restaurants nearby. While at the opera, you then get to listen to the best opera performances that Marseille has to offer.
