When to go to Lilongwe

The climate in Lilongwe is humid subtropical bordering on subtropical highland climate. The wet season spans the months of December through March while the dry season runs from April to November. The months of June to August are slightly cooler at average temperatures of 14-16°C (57-61°F) while the rest of the year stays pretty warm at 19-23°C (66-73°F).

The dry season is the perfect time to hike through the Lilongwe Wildlife Center. It is also the time when the nightlife scene in the city gets busier and perkier. Small musical concerts are often held in some open bars and restaurants around the city.
