Vaduz Castle

The most prominent landmark in the city is the Vaduz Castle, the home of the royal family of the reigning prince of Liechtenstein. The Vaduz Castle sits on top of a hill that overlooks the entire city. You may not enter the Vaduz castle grounds but you may climb the hill, stroll around the castle perimeters, and view the city from atop.


Cathedral of St. Florin

Vaduz Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of St. Florin, is a huge neo-gothic church and the seat of the Archdiocese of Vaduz. It is also an iconic landmark in town.

During the football season in Vaduz, you can check out the Rheinpark Stadion. It is the country’s national stadium and the training sessions and test matches of the FC Vaduz football team are often held here.

There aren’t many nightlife options in Vaduz. The few restaurants you can spend a nice dinner in almost always close before midnight. Vaduz isn’t really the place one visits for the nightlife.

The warmest month is July and the coldest is January. Vaduz ski vacations - Perfect for families

Within about 9 miles (15 km) from the capital Vaduz you find the perfect place for families who love to ski, in the heart of the Liechtenstein Alps. Due to the recognition of family- friendly facilities the ski resort Malbun has won the Families Welcome Award by the Swiss Tourism Board. Here you will find about 14 miles (23 km) of pistes where you have something in all difficulty levels. There is also a small funpark perfect for the freestyle skiers and snowboarders. In 2007, three out of the four lifts were replaced and today there are these three lifts, together with a modern six-man chairlift with heated seats.
