Koh Samui (Ko Samui) is an island off the east coast of the Kra Isthmus peninsula in Thailand. It is Thailand’s second-largest island after Phuket. The beautiful scenery, white sandy beaches, coral reefs and coconut trees will convince any traveler that the island is worth a holiday visit.

One of the most popular things to do in Koh Samui among the younger crowds is to visit the world famous Full Moon Party. This nightlife experience is different than others, as there are shows on fire, skipping ropes and also ‘alcohol buckets. The enormous party is held at the neighbor island of Ko Pha Ngan and is easy accessible by boat. Tens of thousands of people head over to the island every month to celebrate the moon so make sure to always keep an eye on your drink and stay together with your friends.
Koh Samui features a tropical monsoon climate. The best time to visit is during their summer season which is between March and May. The weather is very dry during this time which means you can enjoy the different water sports activities with ease. If you are planning your trip for the year end, do take note that between September to December is their monsoon season.
