Osaka Marathon

if you love getting involved in sports activities yourself; join their yearly Osaka International Ladies Marathon or the regular one for both genders.

 

Shopping in Osaka

Get your souvenirs at one of Osaka’s unique shopping centers like Osaka Station City. This is a popular mercantile area where you can pick up all kinds of trinkets from snow globes to Pokemon figurines and cards.

 

When to go to Osaka

Japan is known to be a place of all seasons and regardless of when you decide to visit the city you’ll find a lot of things to do in Osaka. Heading to this city any time of the year would be a pleasant experience. Visit during the end of March when you can catch sight of the blooming of the cherry blossoms, a truly romantic, wistful and ethereal site gifted from Mother Nature.

MARATHON

Osaka Marathons

Every year Osaka in Japan hosts the Osaka Marathon in late October. It is in the classic distance of about 42K (26 miles) and welcomes both men and women. For those who don't think that the classic distance is enough there is also a challenge run at 8.8K (5.5 miles). Ladies also have a marathon all to themselves, the Osaka International Ladies Marathon, which is held at the end of January every year.

Golf in Osaka

There are a couple of great golf courses near Osaka. In the western outskirts of the city you can find the Takarazuka Golf Club, Nishinomiya Country Club and Kobe Golf Club. On the other side of the big city you can find the Hirakata Kokusai Golf Club and to the north the Naruo Golf Club, Daitakarazuka Golf Club and many more. You could say that the outskirts of Osaka are crawling with golf clubs and you wouldn't be exaggerating.
