Stuttgart Ballet at Staatstheater

If you purchase tickets in advance, you can see some of the greatest ballerinas dance at the Stuttgart Staatstheater for an unforgettable evening.





Wilhelma – Stuttgart Zoo 

Another great visit is the Wilhelma Zoo where beautiful plants and animals make for wonderful entertainment, especially if you have small children.



There are plenty of bars, nightclubs, and pubs where you can spend the rest of the evening meeting and dancing with new friends.


When to go to Stuttgart

The climate in Stuttgart has cold winters and warm summers with occasional summer storms, so be sure to bring along a spare raincoat and umbrella if you are visiting in summer. The hottest months in the city are July and August, with temperatures averaging at 20°C (68°F). January is the coldest month, with a mean temperature of 0°C (32°F).


Beer Festival

If you happen to visit in September or October, you may be able to attend the incredible Volksfest or Beer Festival, a celebration where beer tents and rollercoasters are available to hoards of people. This festival is family-friendly during the day but after 8:00 p.m. turns into a grown-up party, so be sure to put the kids to bed before returning for a wild night!

Stuttgart Opera House

Staatstheater Stuttgart

Located near the Oberer Schlossgarten park and Lake Eckensee, the Staatstheater Stuttgart designed by acclaimed German architect Max Littmann, this opera house is home of Opera Stuttgart, Stuttgart Ballet and Stuttgart Drama Theatre. Noteworthy trivia regarding this building is that it was one of very few opera houses that survived the bombings during the Second World War and has since its founding in 1912 stayed intact and true to its history. Golf in Stuttgart

There are a couple of really nice golf courses in the area surrounding Stuttgart. North of the city, near the town of Ludwigsburg you will find Golfclub Neckartal, an 18 hole course designed in American style with long fairways and wide greens, protected by clever bunkering. A bit to the west from Golfclub Neckertal you will find Golfanlage Schloss Nippenburg, an 18 hole course that will give you a real challenge. The elevated tees make for difficult drives and the greens need careful planning when approaching. If you go south from there you will find Golfclub Schönbuch, a great 27 hole course that can offer you two days of golf if you want to. As you can see, Stuttgart is a great place to if you are looking for golf!

Theme Parks in Stuttgart - Enjoy the “good old day” atmosphere
