Opernhaus Düsseldorf

Inaugurated as a theater in 1875, Opernhaus Düsseldorf has been the main venue for cultural events in Düsseldorf since then. In 1921, the ownership changed from being municipally owned to being in the hands of an opera company and thereby making Opernhaus Düsseldorf what it is today, a venue by opera enthusiasts for opera enthusiasts. Nearby the opera house you will find the Landskrone lake, a great place for a post-performance walk!

Düsseldorf Marathon

The Düsseldorf Marathon is an annual event held in the month of April each year. The event features a main marathon, a relay race and a run for kids. The main course will take you through most of Düsseldorf's distinguished inner city, starting near the Museum Kunstpalast traveling around the Rhine River. The elevation on the course is as the city of Düsseldorf relatively flat making the Düsseldorf Marathon a fast race. GOLF

Golf in Düsseldorf

If you go to Düsseldorf, you will have many different options when you choose which golf course to play on. Just outside the city to the northeast you will find Golfclub Düsseldorf-Grafenberg embedded in the hillside forest. The course is quite difficult with many artificial lakes trying to hinder your progress while you try to hit the fairways and greens. To the west, a bit further from the city you can play on Golfclub Meerbusch, an 18 hole course surrounded by a thick forest. Another great course, located south of the city is Golfanlage Hummelbachaue, a flat 18 hole course with one of the largest practice facilities in the country. Golf in Düsseldorf is very diverse, and there are many more courses in the surrounding area to choose from.

Theme Parks in Dusseldorf - Hollywood feeling at Movie Park

Even though you’re in Düsseldorf, and not even close to being in Hollywood, you can still get a taste of it by visiting Movie Park. It is located a little bit outside of the city and it is usually called a German Universal Studios. Experience the feeling of being on a real movie set, if you’re lucky you may even get the chance to see some cool stunts being performed!
