Museum lovers will be in heaven, as there are many fantastic museums in Fort Worth, including art museums like Kimbell Art Museum, Amon Carter Museum of American Art, and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Or, military enthusiasts should see the Military Museum of Fort Worth or the Texas Civil War Museum.

 

Fort Worth Convention Center

If you need a peaceful place to relax, go to the Fort Worth Water Gardens near the Fort Worth Convention Center. It has three pools of water, a quiet one, an active one and an aerated one to enjoy.

Fort Worth’s climate is semiarid, which means it is very dry.  Temperatures are the highest in July, with average temperatures of 36 °C (95 °F), the coldest month is in January, with the average high temperature of 13 °C (55 °F), and the average low temperatures of −1 °C (31 °F).

 

Fort Worth Rodeo

If you want to experience the annual Fort Worth Rodeo and stock show, be sure to come in January and February. Check their calendar to see when your favorite event is scheduled.

Cowboy lovers need to come in July when the National Day of the American Cowboy gives tribute to this iconic character.

MARATHON

Fort Worth Marathon

The Fort Worth marathon is an annual event held in November every year. The course will take you from Will Roger Memorial Center past the Clear Fork Trinity River on a tour around town featuring the Greenwood Memorial Park, the Colonial Golf club and the Cowtown Office just to mention a few of the sights. It is an inner city marathon, so the track is mostly concrete or asphalt making it a fast paces race. Being among the 20 largest cities in USA, there is a lot to see and do in Fort Worth, so make sure to have a few days after the race so you can experience the city to the fullest!

Golf in Fort Worth

Forth worth has a lot to offer golf enthusiasts. Pecan Valle Golf Club is one of the most popular golf clubs, featuring two different 18 hole courses: The River Course and The Hills Course. They are both fantastic to play on and make for a diverse experience since they are very different in terms of course design and landscaping. Fossil Creek Golf Club is another great one, featuring an 18 hole course surrounded by rocky-ledged creeks, massive trees and reflecting lakes. Other great courses include Benbrook Golf Course, Timberview Golf Club and the private River Crest Country Club.

Water Parks in Fort Worth - A thrill seekers paradise

Fort Worth offers a great variety of water parks! The most famous of them is Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, it is the largest water park in the Southwest and thrill seekers will love this place. This park is all about adrenaline pumping and speed. NRH20 is very popular as well, especially among families due to its huge play area made for the younger ones. Other noteworthy water parks in the area are Hawaiian Falls Water Park, Bahama Beach Family Waterpark, Great Wolf Lodge, Bedford Splash, Wet Zone Waterpark, Water Works Park and Surf and Swim.
