Havana is the capital city, province, major port, and leading commercial centre of Cuba. It was founded in 1515 by the Spanish. In more recent times, Havana is well known for its splendid cigars, nightlife, and vintage American cars.

Havana is located very close to the Tropic of Cancer which gives it a subtropical climate. Average temperatures range from 22 °C (72 °F) in January to 28 °C (82 °F) in August.
