Caro Hotel Valencia – from Palace to Boutique Hotel

Hotel Caro in Valencia is a unique hotel – built with pieces from various eras, it’s like a beautiful patchwork. Once a palace of the Marquis of Caro, today it’s a contemporary space with a captivating and fascinating atmosphere.

It took three years to renovate and restore the old palace from the 15th century into what is now hotel Caro. The building consists of material from different buildings and times. Some parts are now integrated into the hotel and other parts are exhibited so that visitors can admire them.

From rooms and common spaces, visitors can see the old defence wall from the 13th century, that was part of the Arabic City that once was there. The mosaic from the second century BC is taken from a roman villa close by and the facade is from the nineteenth century. These different parts of the building give Hotel Caro a complex and authentic soul.

Boutique Hotel Caro - Contemporary and Modern

Hotel Caro is not only a building representing the past but also a contemporary hotel with a modern interior. The minimalistic design is made by the award winning designer Francesc Rifé. With simple and geometric lines, the interior emphasises the old walls and structures that give the hotel a warm atmosphere.
