UNESCO World Heritage Sites Bordeaux - Bordeaux, Port of the Moon

Bordeaux Opera House

Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux

Home of the Opéra National de Bordeaux, this 18th century building is one of the oldest active opera houses in the world. Designed by architect Victor Louis in Neo-classical style, the great pillars on the facade is one of the most recognizable features of Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux. The Bordeaux public has been running in the new Marathon de Bordeaux Metropole since 2014. It is mainly an inner city marathon that will take you past some of the most beautiful sights that Bordeaux has to offer, for example the UNESCO World Heritage Site Port of the Moon, the Place de la Bourse, and see some of the many wineries that Bordeaux is famous for. The race has an age requirement of 20 and features a full marathon, a half-marathon, a team relay marathon and a company run where an organization or company with at least 8 team mates in unison colored shirts can compete with other organizations.
