The Bloomington Parks and Rec Department is the quintessential travel destination for your indoor and outdoor sports, entertainment, and recreation. There are 44 parks and 3 golf courses in this huge 1,100-acre park, plus an assortment of indoor pools, health clubs, playgrounds, and courts.


Miller Park Zoo

You can also find the Miller Park Zoo inside the Bloomington Parks and Rec. Here, you can see sun bears, red pandas, a reindeer, and a Sumatran tiger, among other extraordinary and often endangered animal species.


McLean County Arts Center

For art lovers, you can visit the McLean County Arts Center where arts exhibits and expos are held throughout the year.


Sports and culture at  the  U.S. Cellular Coliseum

Golf in Bloomington

You will have no trouble finding beautiful golf courses in Bloomington. The first ever course that was constructed here was Highland Park Golf Course, and it is still today one of the best in the city. In the northern outskirts of the city you will find Ironwood Golf Course, a pretty 18 hole course where especially the 16th hole will you give a headache trying to avoid the water that is taking up most of the hole. There are many more courses to choose from, for example The Weibring Golf Club or Den At Fox Creek Golf Course, it is simply up to you how many of them you can visit during your stay!
